What is the Portreeve's Pick?
When you eat out at participating pubs and restaurants in Ashburton, look out for the "Portreeve's Pick" on the menu. When you choose the “Portreeve’s Pick”, part of the proceeds are donated to support important local causes - it all adds up and a little goes a long way!
It's a great way to help the businesses in our town, to enable them to raise funds to support our community and to enjoy yourself at the same time - everyone wins!
Which Businesses are Participating?
The following pubs and restaurants have an offer or are in the process of updating their menus. Most businesses expect to be offering a "Portreeve's Pick" from March 2022, but it's early days and not all offers are available just yet, keep an eye on the AshburtonPortreeve facebook page for announcements.
The Bay Horse
Traditional, family-friendly pub serving great beers, ales and home-cooked food.
Cafe Latino
Cafe Latino is the colourful, vibrant and smiley South American heart of Ashburton offering a variety of speciality coffees and teas, the yummiest home made hot chocolate, gorgeous cakes, sandwiches and snacks.
Coljan
COLJAN Bar and Restaurant is focussed on delivering high quality food at an affordable price using locally sourced ingredients where possible, to sustain our local economy. The team in the kitchen work hard to create dishes that have layers of flavour and complexity but excite the diner.
Dartmoor Lodge
This spacious beamed restaurant offers an extensive lunch and dinner menu packed with a mouth-watering selection of modern, traditional and international dishes at great value prices, using only the best local ingredients.
Greedy Bird Kitchen
Sandwich shop serving made-to-order sandwiches and baguettes, salads, quiche & ready to go baguettes! An ever changing specials menu features soups, roasts and other tempting dishes.
Rafikis
Independent veggie and vegan café bar serving all day brunch, lunch specials, homemade cakes and more, using recipes from travels around the world!
Creamo's
Creamo's creates small batch, handcrafted, ice cream, sorbets and sweet treats. Unique flavours inspired by seasonal curiosity.
Everything is made by hand through the week and then Creamo's open their doors to customers on Friday and Saturday.
